Halloween

So this morning I was flipping through my Scrapbooks Etc magazine and I stumbled upon an ad for Halloween scrappin stuff. I got VERY excited. :) Why you may ask? Halloween is far off! Well the reason I got excited is even more far off, try over a year! It just occurred to me that I am FINALLY going to be able to do adorable scrap pages on Halloween that are not of my hubby and myself in the fall time. I LOVE Halloween. It is really one of my favorite holidays. I always see such adorable paper, and this year is no exception, but I never really have a reason to use it. I have made one page of us from Halloween this past year but it isnt as adorable as it could have been with a baby or a child!!! :D So Halloween 2011 will be a good one. And I cannot wait.

I wish that I had a reason to use this year's adorable lines. I have seen two I really like. I expect to see more at CHA next Friday (ONE MORE WEEK!!!!)

The ad that caught my eye in the magazine was from Little Yellow Bicycle called BOO-Ville. It is pretty cute. I definitely have one piece of paper from this line that I LOVE. But I love polka dots, in an unhealthy way lol Posted Image

The other line I have seen is from Bo Bunny (are you surprised?!?! lol) It is called Whoo-ligans. I cannot open individual images but here is their line

It is looking adorable as usual. I am tempted to buy pieces from these lines and save them for 2011, but I am SURE they will be coming out with MORE adorable lines next fall as well! Decisions Decisions!!! If we have moved by then, and it is likely we will have. We will have a house in a neighborhood with lots of trick or treaters! We dont get many in our condo in downtown Chicago. So I am sure I can figure out some photos to take after I decorate our house for the first time inside and out and scrap that! Always thinking of a way to buy new supplies :D Maybe this should be a SSA post???? haha

I think the decision was just decided for me when I saw their embellies!!! AHH the stickers and chipboard are SO adorable...I cannot wait for Halloween 2010!!! :D

hah! I felt exactly the same way when I was expecting my first. Unfortunately, for his first Halloween we were living in an apartment and didn't get any trick or treaters and I couldn't justify the expense of an adorable costume just so that I could take a picture for a scrapbook. :P This past Hallowee, however, we had just moved into a house (still renting, though) in a neighbourhood FULL of kids and great for trick or treating. I went to all the trouble of making a cute little ghost costume for Isaac and he had the audacity to fall asleep in his high chair at 5:30 while eating his dinner. And he didn't wake up until the next morning. I was SO disappointed. This year will be different, though.... :P

awww!!! I bet he was still adorable falling asleep like that! Was he in his costume when he fell asleep? I am sure that Halloween's get a little more exciting as children get older and can appreciate all of the magic about the day/evening! I cannot wait until our baby is old enough to understand that and "santa" :D I am really into all of these things so it will be a lot of fun for me too!!!

Yeah this year I decorated a little bit. I bought a door mat at CVS for 3 dollars that was Halloween themed and on Halloween I put it outside our door, even though things like that are not allowed. lol I said oh WELL! It is halloween and our building gave us this really creepy looking pumpkin sign to hang up that we were "trick or treater friendly" Since it was voluntary to participate. We probably only had 5 visitors, since there are not a lot of kids in the building. However, they were ALL adorable! One little boy who lives in the unit below us walked a bit into my condo and hugged me :D Too bad my hubby wasnt ready with the camera. He was such a sweetie.

I have been planning my Halloween plans all morning now. I will likely get a cute Halloween themed maternity shirt, maybe have it made on CafePress and wear that and make Jason take photos of me with all of my decorations. I only really decorate inside for xmas here because we dont have the room to store decorations for every holiday! We are going to rent a house for a bit while we work on selling this condo and then saving up for a down payment on a new house (using some of the money we get from this place) I am so excited because it will be our first HOUSE! No more condo living!!! :D haha So this house we havent found yet is already decorated inside and out for Halloween in my head! haha We are going to look at another place tomorrow! Maybe a few more as well. We will see.
