Craftella Scrapbooking: Reminder Of Why I Scrap In The First Place - Craftella Scrapbooking

This is the first project/layout that I have created in a while "just because." Everything I have worked on (some not posted yet) has been for a reason or for a person or customer. It felt really great yesterday to sit down and make something just for fun, just for my own scrapbook! I do enjoy making things for other people, but sometimes when you get so wrapped up in that you forget just why you scrap or make cards in the first place. That creative passion can be a little lost in other people's wants, needs, or demands. That is fine, I often get compensated for it, so I am not complaining at all! I just like having time to make something just for the pure joy of making it for me!

I just ordered some more pregnancy themed items. I cannot wait to receive them so I can add to the baby book. I actually need to buy a 12x12 album for that book but I am trying to wait until Sept 15th when we find out what we are having! I have browsed some albums though, so I am keeping my eyes open.

With this page I had a lot of fun making. I sat down not knowing what I wanted to scrap, just that I wanted to scrap something! I saw these two photos and knew it was perfect. I considered finding letters to add the word "the" but decided to keep it "I heart claw game." I just liked how it looked better. I was going to journal. I was looking through my container that holds some journal cards, plain chipboard, and decorated chipboard, when I found my animals1 I had forgotten all about them! They could not have been more perfect for this, since I have collected a large amount of stuffed animals from my Claw Game passion! I trimmed down the photos a little bit. I did have some trouble figuring out how I wanted to arrange the animals. They are a little bigger pieces, so it was harder to scatter them randomly. I messed around with them for some time.

I added the lines after the butterfly. I felt it looked too plain and so I wanted to add something to secure it to the page a little better, to make it flow.

Regarding the letters...what happened was....I did not have a pink "m" so I had to get extra creative. I was not sure how it would look but decided to lightly place the pink self adhesive letters on the paper along with the chipboard letters. I fell in love instantly. They look so fun, which is exactly what the "claw game" is for me!

I am looking forward to having more time to do these kinds of fun pages that always remind me why I scrap in the first place!
