Mainly, I just feel like writing this morning! What else is there to do when you are sick but wired and wide awake?!?! haha This pregnant cold is the strangest I have ever had. So far, I still have energy. Normally I am immobilized on my couch for several days. We will see what the rest of today holds though. I may get that "hit by a truck" feeling later on.
Other than being entirely pale and no voice I probably dont even seem sick! But I am very pale, I noticed it yesterday while getting my hair done. (I happened to finally have a hair appointment and I still went) Suddenly my face was awful looking. I lost all of the color in a matter of minutes. Oh well. It is not like I have anyone to impress. My hubby constantly tells me he thinks I am the most beautiful I have ever been right now (with my expanding midsection and eggo preggo glow) I asked him "even more than our wedding day?" His reply, "yes, I think so" Even when I dont have any makeup on and feel like poop he is always touching me haha So I cant complain
We were supposed to carve pumpkins yesterday but I wasnt really feeling up to it, so I said let's do it another night. I really didnt want to be taking photos being as pale as paper and sick! haha Then about 15 minutes later our kitty fell from the second floor to the first! We ended up rushing her to the ER Vet. She was bleeding from her face. It took us about 15 minutes to get her out from under our reclining couch, at which point we saw the blood. We were fearful she landed on her face badly. When we called the vet the recommended we come in because the jaw area of kitties is very delicate and she could have some major trauma. We got her there and checked out. Luckily, there is no obvious trauma. He examined her jaw, her teeth are still aligned properly. They could have done a more extensive exam that required her to be put under some anesthesia, however, he didn't feel that it was something that was necessary because the other signs were good. We do have to keep her food soft for a week or two, just in case, see how she is eating. Then switch her back to her crunchy food and make sure she is still eating ok. If she seems to be struggling, then we will bring her back and do the more extensive exam. But so far she is looking good, other than a split fat lip! That also didnt pierce all the way through, which was good because it means no antibiotics for her. She is a lucky ducky! We think she must have clipped her lip on the railing on the way down or bit it when landing or something. We dont think she landed on her face or it likely would have been worse! Maybe she learned her lesson and will stop showing off playing on the banister. I hated that she went up there and was very fearful this exact thing was going to happen. My maternal instincts were spot on.
So that is the story. She is ok. She slept in our bed, like normal, last night. She came home and lounged around the dining room. She is acting pretty normal, so we are happy and much less worried parents! LOL We have never had an emergency with any of our 3 kitties. Bella and Harley just turned 6! So, we have been blessed and lucky. If this is the worst to happen, I will take it.
