Planning a PARTY

My daughter, Gracie, turns 8 on the 23rd of next month. She has been talking about her birthday for the past month already. So, this weekend we started making the big plans. She is SO excited! We are doing a Glamour Girl/Rock Star theme. We went yesterday and chose invitations and some decorations. We are going to have a sleepover (with 12 girls.....yes I'm crazy!) We're doing an American Idol Contest and Toenail Painting Contest. She is planning every last detail. I have to admit, I'm excited, too! It's so much fun to plan girl parties. I'm going to surprise Gracie by decorating the entire basement! Going all out with pink and sparkle. Of course we are going to have lots of goodies, pizza, and drinks! I am going to Target today to start picking out prizes! This should be fun! My mom is going to help me out so we atleast have 2 adults for the LONG night. My in-laws are taking little Corbin camping for the weekend and my wonderful hubby will be our back-up and food run guy! :) I love him! So...time for planning a PARTY! I'm open to any suggestions or ideas! Gracie is a huge girly-girl and loves everything that sparkles! Keep the ideas flowing~I'm already to scrapbook this party! :)

A cute craft that could take up about a hour if your are luckly is photo frames... I did this with cub scouts over the summer. I got the unpainted wood frames from Michaels in the wood area and I did the paint as a wash so it was quick drying... (one teaspoon of paint to 1/8 cup of water) and stickers... I was able to take each boys pic and it was a fun party favor they got to make.....
