hey there girls,
sorry I haven't added a blog lately...busy on a project I like to call " project three decades" . My friend "Miranda" is turning 30 and her sister is planning a surprise birthday party for her... The fun part is what she has requested as gifts- 30 items of any 1 thing ( example- 30 paper clips, 30 lipsticks etc.) Well being the Scrapaholics that we are ( we being my best friend "Samantha" and I)- we had to make our gifts. I came up with the idea to give her 30 giant cheques/gift certificates( like the ones when companies give a donation on a telethon) for $1.00 each . The certificates she'll be able to cash in literally for "Close To My Heart CASH " at her party she's hosting the following week! So not only will we get a great laugh at the birthday party - we are gonna laugh all over again at the CTMH scrapbooking party ! She's gonna have to haul out these 30 huge giant cheques/certificates in order to be able to use 'em! lol!!! I am in contact with the CTMH consultant and she is aware that we will simply pay her $30 at the party... can't wait to see her face when she opens this huge gift box!
It's been fun making the cheques...lots of stamping and use of my new markers all in a cordinating color- we even enlarged the CTMH logo and made copies of it and adhered them to the top center of the cheques to make 'em look authentic! so much fun!
Well it's Weds Night which is when us girls get together to scrap here at my place- We are the "Scrappers of the Rectangle Tables"...I know silly but it's fun!
