Wow look at me all grown up and blogging! ( smiling!)
My name is Danica and I am the self titled "President" of the Scrappers Of The Rectangle Tables.
We are a group of gals , 7 total if all make it , in a very tiny community in Northern Ontario Canada. We all had an interest in scrapbooking and kinda did a few pages on our own at home but it seemed like something always came up and that took priority. I'm sure you all get what I'm talking about.
This fall I decided to take over half of the basement family room as my scrappin' area. ( I was at first SHARING a room with my husband and his hobby and Ohhh that so was not workin' for me!!!)
So I moved out into the family room which was great for me and my marriage....
As the gals came over for coffee I would take them down and show them my new space and I would get comments like - " you never do anything half way eh Danica?" or " If only I had a space like this to call my own I would get more scrapping done..."
This is where I had my "ta-dah" moment and said to my husband (whom I call and will refer to from now on as "Pooh Bear" ) if I had the gals over on the night you go out to do your thing then it would be a night for me with the gals without having to leave the house!!!! ( We have a young son at home so we can't really afford a sitter every week)
I launched a "news letter" via email explaining my idea of Weds Meetings of The Scrapbookers Of The Rectangle Tables and the rest as they say is history...smiling!
Since then it's been great- we are getting pages done, ideas are being tossed around, we share all our stuff, it's unserious creativity in the making!
And to top it all off we are in Group Therapy at the same time cause it's letting us talk about our week, about the kids, vent about the husbands.... all while making a page for say my Wedding Scrapbook ( finally getting to it, only been married already 10 yrs! But that a whole other blog) it's a hoot and we love it!
