Non-scrappers sometimes just don't get it. Why do we devote so much time to it?
It is so much more than a way to store/display photos! Well, it took some time. At first I thought it would be challenging to come up with 10 reasons. What I found out was that there are so many more than ten great reasons and the challenge was to actually narrow it down to only ten!!
Here are my Top 10 Reasons . . .
10. To process and deal with the not so fun times
9. To mentally re-live better times
8. It is my desperately needed relaxation time.
7. It feeds my need to be creative
6. It is great for a "Life Review / Reality Check"
(Everything changes, except the fact that everything changes!)
5. It reminds me to appreciate the "little things"
4. It is a creative way to incorporate photos into my written genealogy research
and create a "permanent" record of my family history.
3. Through the journaling process I learn about and bond with relatives who died
before I was born; and through sharing I bond with those still living.
2. To keep alive the stories and wisdom of generations past for my children,
grandchildren, great grandchildren . . .
and the #1 reason I scrapbook . . .
It is my passion for the process that compells me to try working outside the box, not just on paper, but also in life.
Hugs, Barb

Excellent reasons. I think all of us can relate to most of them

Thank you.
That is one reason I decided to write my blog, because as scrappers we can have a lot in common. I like to read blocks that I can relate to and I thought maybe others could relate to my reflections as well.
Happy Scrapping!

Happy Scrapping!

I have never seen IT (life, scrapbooking, heritage, etc. ) better put! Really made me rethink what I am doing it for.
