Well first I have to tell you how my weekend started...I was just on my way out the door and decided I should check email and FB one more time. I found out I had won the Craftella facebook friend challenge. Very cool! and it set the tone for the weekend!
The weekend was held out in Canmore Alberta, if you are not familiar with it, google it, very beautiful. There were 30 of us in a resort board room. When you first arrive there is a spot with your name tag and swag bag, lots of great goodies! I met two other friends there and we had a great time. In total I finished 39 traditional pages, my first digital page. I won two door prizes, both CM digital paper packs, a roll up the rim timmy's, and then when I returned home I discovered that I had won a door prize at a trade show the week before, a stampin up gift pack. So a very lucky weekend for me!
Hours spent working on my album
Friday: 12:30pm - 2:30am (with a short break to eat at 6 and 11pm)
Saturday: 10:00am - 5:oopm and then 7:00pm - 1:00am (hit the wall and couldn't do any more pages! lol)
Sunday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
for a total of: 31 hours of scrapbooking.
I will attend another weekend retreat for sure! I really enjoyed the time away, the hot tub, the social aspect and of course getting over 18 months worth of pages complete.
Here is my "I wish I had brought..." list
cushion to sit on
baby wipes for the hands...lots of goodies to be snacked on, and had to keep going to wash my hands
work out clothes, there was a gym and I think I would have liked to use it
longer extension cord
extra scissors - they always seem to get lost under all the scraps
Pens/markers/pencil - not sure how I didn't bring those?
some kind of box for saved scraps - just to allow more scrapbooking time and less organizing and clean up
Other than the above I actually remember everything I needed! The weekend was very productive!
Next year I will do the Thursday - Sunday to give myself more relaxation time, I was heads down and straight to work, more hot tub time and movie time would have been nice.
Till next year!
