Craftella Scrapbooking: The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival - Craftella Scrapbooking

So my goal of attending retreats and getting caught up on my albums is going quite well!!! This past weekend I attend the carnival here in Calgary, it was so much fun! I was able to get tickets for the crop area, meet all the wonderful ladies responsible for the magazine, Canadian Scrapbooker (a must read!). I attended with a friend and we will go again next year for sure!

We started our morning off by checking in and setting up at our table, with our goody bags, WOW!, did they spoil us! anything and everything was in that bag. Then of course we had to shop, and oh did we shop! We both won door prizes from one of the vendors each day. My friend won one of the cropping door prizes...AND!!! the best part of the entire weekend you ask?!

I AM GOING TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE SPRING 2011 ISSUE OF CANADIAN SCRAPBOOKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so proud and excited about this, I was actually shaking and started crying when they read out the name of my layout. CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO BE ON THE NEW STANDS!!!! This was the first time I had ever shared a layout in such a public setting, I almost didn't enter, I am a bit of a privacy freak, but did enter due to it being a donation entry fee for a local hospital for kids.

I managed to complete 12 traditional layouts, it was very productive considering all the shopping distractions! LOL!

Now to prepare for my next crop weekend, off to the bloomin inn! Wonder what this weekend will bring!
