The first one is a salt box I altered to hold twill and the second is an altered coffee tin made to hold scraps while you are scrapbooking!

The scrap tin is a GREAT idea! I use mine all the time to throw little scraps and bits of paper as I'm scrapbooking. It's a perfect size to keep out on your work space! Thanks, Mom! :)
