So I have about 13 to make! I know that is not a lot compared to things like weddings and such but they are for people who came to my little birthday picnic. I think I am going to do all different ones instead of trying to do 13 carbon copies. I have so much paper and so many supplies already. I think I should use it instead of going to the store and buying stuff specifically for this....tryin to use what I have because I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF!!! LOL
I just felt like sharing. I need to get working on them!!!! lol

I say you are very brave for making 13 different ones!! But then again, I am not really a card maker at all, I have trouble with them. I did make all the party invitations for my son's 6th birthday...it was Nascar themed, but I only made 8 of them and they all looked a like. I was really burnt out from doing them. Considering that I LOVE paper crafting and scrapbooking it seems funny to say that I HATE and I really mean HATE cropping things, so this was not something I LOVED doing, however they turned out REALLY cute. I just wish I would have taken a picture of one before I sent them all out.

that is too funny that you hate to crop things!!! Cardmaking can be a lot different than scrapping....there is just something different about the two. I do enjoy both. Sometimes I actually switch which I do more! Does anyone still have one invite, maybe they saved it? I know my mom, mother inlaw, grandma, and grandma in law all save my stuff. You could ask and quick borrow it and take a pic!
lol I do invites too for other people...right now I am also working on 80 invites for a wedding....I will be doing their place cards too! I did all of the paper related stuff for my wedding...and some others! so this realistically shouldnt be a lot...but because they are different it is!!!
THANK GOD on Thursday I have another crafting date with a girlfriend of mine :-) I should knock them out...considering...I graduate on Friday and people are coming to that...sooooo I will have to make more t.y. cards...I think this time they will all match!

I know, being a scrapbooker and hating to crop! I remember when I first started scrapping, cropping pictures seemed like a thing you "HAD" to do. I disliked every moment of it...LOL. Now for the most part I use standard size pictures to scrap with. 4x5, 5x7 and wallet sized. I can't work off of sketches for the most part because everything has to be measured and cut exactly...sure...not happening here...haha. I do crop and cut papers to fit, but it's just not the highlight of what I do. LOL.
With Patrick's invitations, I used a matted wallet sized photo of Jimmie Johnson's car as the center of the front of the invite and then put "Race On" above the picture and below it "Over to....." The inside cover said "Patrick's 6th Birthday Party" and then on the opposite page said all the party info. I say they took me forever, but I got all 8 of them done, sealed in envelopes, addressed and ready to mail in a little over 2 hours. But it seemed like forever because of all the cutting I had to do..LOL. After a while I gave up on using my cutter and started cutting with scissors...so much easier. Professional cardmaker I am not

Heeee..... the invites sound like they're really cute! I'm hoping that you can get one back and take a picture of it to post. I love seeing what people do with their stuff. I made invites to my son's Chuck E Cheese party a couple of years ago by taking a piece of 'cheese coloured' cardstock, cutting it into a wedge shape, and then using my handheld circle punches to punch holes in it. I just added the party info to the back, and we were good to go.
Nicole - did you get the thank you notes done? Very ambitious considering you're not feeling overly creative!
Oh, and I have to throw this out there... I'm in the midst of putting together the designs/quote for my hubby's company's holiday cards. Got any designs that would be easy to create? I need 2200 of them..........
