When I first started making cards I did not have a lot of experience at all. I used to use white core paper so that the white was inside of the card. I always wanted color there though and I would try to layer it without borders and put a color piece of cardstock inside. I quickly learned it was much easier to just use a solid piece of cardstock. :) After several shaky at best cards lol I laugh now when I think about how they looked!!! I have come a long way!!!

Now I hate using white paper. I rarely use it at all. 99% of the time I used a colored piece of cardstock as my card base. If it is a dark shade I do add layering on the inside, but I allow for a border. I will use a complimenting lighter hue for the inside, so I can stamp or write. Sometimes I will even ink the lighter huge. I have even done a lot of tearing and sometimes tearing and inking! There are SOOO many options!!!

This was just a small tip. I love color, all color, so I try to use it as much as possible in the most creative way possible!!!

hi Nicole, it doesn't mean if you have experience then you can start that work. To start any work you should have a planning how to begin that.
