Help! I need manly card designs!!! Cards for the dudes in my life are so hard to come up with, because my DH refuses to look at anything that has ribbon, fiber, flowers etc. on it. He detests paisley with a passion.

I dont have any images on hand...but some of my favorite things to do for manly cards are"

1. tearing....love to tear solid carstock to make it look dirty and distressed
2. inking...love to add brown or other darker colors to the edges, especially of the above torn edges!
3. favorite hobby. My dad is big into baseball, so he has gotten different baseball themed cards with different baseball embellies I come across. My dad is also big into fishing, so he has gotten some fishing ones as well. My father in law is big into hunting, so he gets different hunting themed cards. My hubby even found a family of deer stamp and I used brown embossing powder and heat embossed the image on the front of a card for father's day. Very outdoorsy looking. I just find it easier to keep it less frilly when I keep their hobbies in mind.

hmm I think that is it for now. There may be more but I cant think of them off of the top of my head...
