What is your favorite technique when it comes to cardmaking? Is there something you tend to use more than other ones?

Lately mine has been heat embossing. I really feel like it adds a different feel than just stamping the image or word! I really love it lately.

Me too. I love heat embossing! I don't think my card feels complete without it.

I tend to always ink the edges when I layer on cards just to give it a little more dimension. And I love heat embossing, too!

I have found myself doing some paper piecing on my cards. There are a few images out there that I love to cut and mount on the card. Same with punch animals. I was looking at something tonight that just screamed "create me!".

I always try to add a little something extra to each card - I do embroidery on paper and then accent those pieces with inked edges, torn edges or layers. I try to stay away from square corners, unless I trim them with ribbon, stickers, or ink.

I like to emboss also and today I made the grand discovery( I'm sure everyone else knew) that I could use the cuttlebug folders in my Big Shot. I have had it for a couple of years, AC (after cricut) I put the sizzix stuff on the shelf and left it. I then picked up the embossing folder for the Big Shot at Michael's on their 40% off coupon and today decided to try a cuttlebug folder in it. It is amazing.

hmm, I don't think I have any one thing that I do on every card. I do go through stages though where, for a few weeks, all my cards might have gems and pearls, another week I wet emboss and another week I might dry emboss. This weekend, I've been doing a bit of colouring on my cards, mostly because I've been playing with a new stamp set. I'm not much into colouring so I am sure I will eventually find ways to use this set without all the colouring.

I think my favorite technique for card making would be stamping. I don't know why...but card making is when I use my stamps the most. Whether the stamped image is the main focus of my card or just the wording, I would say that 80% of my cards are stamped. Plus...I'm a Stampin' Up addict...

My cards are so different - I heat emboss, haven't dry embossed in a while, however, I do like it - I use lots of stamps, some with water color pencils and blender pen, some with chalks, some I will use my markers and put it on prior to stamping - this is a new fav of mine - don't know why! I sometimes forget to get my CuttleBug out - I have lots of folders, and I do go through periods where I use different embellishments, I am into my Cricut right now - - been cutting some things making a scrap page for my friends to give when we have girls weekend. I will provide the pages made, then give them pictures, and let them do the pictures however they want! That was my husband's idea, bless his heart! Good idea and it will keep me busy! ha!

I do enjoy visiting on this board - some boards people are so advanced that they don't have time to "visit!" Thanks for being so welcoming here!
