About Me
My name is Brittany. I am 24 years old and I love to take pictures! My friends and family recently got me into scrapbooking with my photos to get them off my computer and into their hands. I found out how expensive an hobby it was when I saw all those little jolee cutouts and the crikut machine stuff. I was amazed at the prices on some of it! I could make that stuff so easily! So off I went blowing $50 very quickly on a giant stack of colored paper and gluesticks. Seth, <3, bought me a kick ass razorblade and I've been cruising ever since! I love seeing other people's creations and artwork. Its very exciting to see what people come up with when they have a few brads, buttons, beads, and some paper!
I have had a few 'professional' jobs where I have been hired to take wedding, anniversary, graduation, and sports team photos. I would love to learn how to draft die cuts on the computer to create my own cutouts one day. I am currently working as the head/prep cook at a local pizzeria.
I live with my boyfriend of almost 6 years, Seth. We have 2 puppies, 6 year old Molly and 4 year old Dora. Seth dislikes felines, so I am excited to be able to say I have a 10 month old gray tabby named Henry J Powell "POW". We had some issues with the little man for a few weeks until his fated vet appointment that pushed him into the ranks of the unsexed cats in our house (17 owned by my dad). I live in my dad's house right now, I had some legal issues and I'm still paying for them, but I am a good kid. (Maybe my problem is I never grew up) But I recently was hired as a lead cook at a Pizzeria and Deli here in town. I cant wait to pay for my license back and move on to our next home. But while staying here I am happy with my other adopted doggy Hanah Banana, a loveable lab who is getting to old for the games she plays...
But back to Scrappin', Every Tuesday at midnight (when I'm not working now) my bestest buddy, April, whisks me off to a magical place we refer to as The land of Spar Oom. We stay up late into the starlight night until we can barely keep our eyelids pried open and cant tell light pinks from lavendars. We will normally pass out within moments, with dreams of waking up around noon and reentering the land of Spar Oom to complete the projects we had begun the night before. Week after week we two women sit in a creative bubble of girliness and giggles, while our families annoyingly wait for us to once again join them in the real world. But I will never completely leave that magical land of paper and glitter, cause whereever I go I always have my camera in hand, planning the next few pages in my mind....
